The Mount Riga Directors held a preferential vote for MRI President, concluded on Friday June 9: Ana Maria Chrysler received 7 out of 10 votes as the 1st preference candidate. Congratulations to Ana! The Board will vote on June 23rd on a motion to elect her as Assistant Vice President and then she will be nominated for a 5-year term as President at the Board’s Organization Meeting which directly follows the 2023 AGM in October. The Search Committee expects to present to the Directors very soon a short list of candidates for the Vice President position (to be nominated for Vice-President, Oct 2023).
We are very fortunate to have several highly qualified and willing candidates for both President and VP positions, and a thoughtful and diligent Search Committee. I look forward to working with Ana, the Officers and the TBD VP-elect between now and Oct to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.
