Hello Riga Friends!
Over the winter we lost dear friend Billy Mitchell to injuries from a tragic car accident. In Billy’s memory, there will be a special event on Friday, July 31st, at the LL Dam House. Starting at 3:00 pm we will be holding the Blueberry Island Rounding in Billy’s honor. All types of LL craft are encouraged to participate (no UL craft or boats from other lakes are permitted due to the Hydrilla threat). Following the Rounding, everyone is welcome to join us. in offering our support and love to the Mitchell family- for a sunset social at the Dam.
Sunfish racing will follow Billy’s Memorial, on Saturday, August 1. The Skipper’s meeting starts at 11:00 at the Boat Landing. Daniel’s Cottage will host the Regatta Social starting at 6:00 pm with awards, pot luck dinner and dancing.
